Conventional drainage systems, relying on lateral movement of water over several meters, require regular renewal of failed infrastructure. Airfield allows fast vertical drainage to a sub-surface layer of air, approximately 300mm below a sand-based field. This permanent self-sustaining structure requires no further attention.

This vertical drainage eliminates the need for the camber and the problems associated with it. Drainage water can also be detained for reapplication, thus saving both precious nutrients and water.

A unique attribute of the Airfield system is the opportunity to introduce heat controlled aeration into the drainage layer under the total root zone. Manual aeration is eliminated, together with the promotion of aggressive grass growth into Winter. Therefore optimum results are within your control.
