Gravelpave2 offers the appeal of a gravel surface without the maintenance.
Migration of gravel from high traffic areas is not only inconvenient it can create an unstable surface. Gravelpave2 has been in use since 1993 in banks, fast food restaurants, colleges and domestic driveways to alleviate this problem.
Gravelpave2 is an interlocking cell structure made of 100% recycled polypropylene. When installed on a specifically engineered porous base Gravelpave2 maintains the integrity of a gravel surface catering for frequent and heavy traffic. A filter fabric bonded to the underside of the structure retains all aggregate, is fast draining, and minimises weeds.
Gravelpave2 exceeds the durability properties of alternative surfaces such as concrete while providing higher aesthetic and environmental value. As a porous and quick draining surface it allows the natural water table to be replenished, ideal if trees are to be established nearby. Concrete and asphalt have 95% storm water runoff and require extensive culverts and exert pressure on storm water systems.
Lateral migration of gravel is minimised, making Gravelpave2 safe for all wheeled vehicles including wheelchairs.
Gravelpave2 gives you a durable, permanent, safe surface with a well-dressed finish.

100% recycled plastic rings are molded onto non-woven geotextile filter fabric. The rings become invisible or camouflaged by the decorative gravel which is "contained" for a smooth, well-dressed finish.
Large rolls of Gravelpave2 make installation of trails or parking lots quick and easy.
Gravel base course, depth specified by a soils engineer, is laid underneath to bear vehicle loading, Gravelpave2 is unrolled and fastened together with washers included, then filled with decorative gravel of minus 5mm (3/16") using a front end loader and rakes.
Settling of fill gravel can be done by either compacting with a roller or irrigating with water.
